Passports (by appointment only)

• Passport applications can be obtained from the Town Clerk. Please call for more information. You will need an appointment to complete your application.
• Passports are valid for travel by air, sea and land. Adults are valid for 10 years, minors 16 and under are 5 years.
• Passport cards are valid for land and sea crossing between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean only. They too are valid for 10 years for adults and 5 years for minors.
• An Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) is available from the Dept. of Motor Vehicles or County Clerk's office. They are valid for land and sea travel between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean. They are valid for 8 years; not available for children under age 18.
• Passports, cards or EDL's will be required beginning June 1, 2009. Read more about the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative.
